Work has been busy on the house, but finished and moved in ,in two weeks..... not going to happen
Polished concrete tradies have been back with a crane to lift the polishing machinery over onto the balcony to grind
Back the flooring to a safe no slip consistency, it requires two coats of sealer and then is ready .
Galaxy floor’s big job has commenced and the jarrah floors are expected to take up to 3 weeks.
3 weeks!!! That takes us over the exit date here at Latour Street .
Today we sorted the staircase with the welder and I have selected black matt steel with a oak wood hand rail.
I hope to keep it a bit rustic / industrial looking to stay away from that high gloss shine some staircases can look like .
Expecting the framework to be completed mid next week.
Our back up plan will have to be put in action .
Backup plan is , pack up, clean up, removalist in , store furniture and belongings and crash at my lovely sister in laws for as long as required ..Hopefully maximum of 2 weeks .
So a bit of couch surfing is ahead of us , we are packing anything we won’t need in the next 6 weeks.
We have an upcoming Melbourne trip to see the kids and
catch the “AFL grand Final “ (while we are there ..)
So have had to factor Melbourne packing into the move as we don’t want that gear at the back and on the bottom of a storage shed we are unable to access.
